“We asked for an internal collaboration tool to be developed for our company. Due to the lack of expertise in this area, the company looked for an application developer, combined with an internal developer (specialized in server development) to carry out the project. Initially, the project was expected to be completed in 2 months, but as usual, the workload was larger than expected, resulting in the development time being doubled, to 4 months.
Although the development company did not fully understand the scope of work, we were also responsible for not clearly defining the initial requirements, leading to the two sides agreeing to extend the development time. (Through this experience, we realized that clearly defining the work requirements when proposing development is extremely important).Throughout the project, I was most concerned about:1. Do they have the development expertise?2. Is language communication difficult when the developer is a foreigner?3. Are they dedicated to the development process, or do they just do things haphazardly, resulting in a substandard final product?Regarding these concerns, I would like to share my experience as follows:1. They are really expert in app development. We got a lot of support on app development process, limitations which we were not aware of before.2. Although it would be better if the partner developer could communicate well in English, there was a Korean intermediary who took care of connecting and unifying the content, so communication was not difficult.3. Very positive working attitude. They not only proactively solve our requests but also explain clearly when there are things that are not feasible in development.

3. The working attitude was very positive. They were proactive in solving our requests and clearly explained when certain requests were not feasible during development.
